Section outline

    • Intellectual Property (IP) refers to creations of the mind, such as inventions, literary and artistic works, designs, and symbols, names, and images used in commerce. Protecting these assets is crucial for individuals and businesses.

    • Upon completing the quiz of IP types, the learner will be able to define the four main categories of Intellectual Property—Patent, Trademark, Copyright, and Industrial Design—and clearly differentiate the subject matter protected by each one. Furthermore, they will be able to identify the most appropriate IP protection for various creations in commercial scenarios, and describe the basic duration of protection associated with each type.
