Go to YouTube and search for a 3-minute TED-Ed video or a BBC News report.
Get a piece of paper and divide it into two columns: "Marker Heard" and "Function."
Listen to the audio. Every time you hear a marker (e.g., But, So, In addition, Finally), hit PAUSE.
Write down the marker and what it is doing (e.g., However -> Contrast).
The Challenge: Before hitting play again, guess what the speaker will say next.
Example: If you heard "For instance," guess what example they might give.
