CPR Technique for Adult (Brief Explanation):
- Check Response and Breathing – Tap the person and shout. If no response and not breathing normally, call for help or emergency services.
- Position Hands – Place the heel of one hand on the center of the chest (lower half of the sternum), put your other hand on top, and interlock fingers.
- Chest Compressions – Push hard and fast, about 5–6 cm deep at a rate of 100–120 compressions per minute. Allow full chest recoil after each push.
- Rescue Breaths (if trained) – After every 30 compressions, give 2 breaths by tilting the head back, lifting the chin, and blowing into the mouth until the chest rises.
- Continue CPR – Keep doing 30 compressions and 2 breaths until help arrives or the person starts breathing.
